Group Coaching PDF Print E-mail

This is a means of leveraging the group intelligence to solve problems that are common to each member of the group. Often it is used by a company or other group to do strategic planning. At other times, it is helping to put objectives and plans in place to create high performance teams. Still others will use it to resolve conflict in a work environment.

As with all coaching, it creates solutions based on the collective IQ of the group, building on the combined experience of each member, and focusing on the “white spaces” in the organization chart. This “white space” thinking begins to show how communication really takes place and brings to light what are often destructive alliances rather than alliances that contribute to cooperation between members of the group. Finally, group coaching can be useful in helping to develop skills required in a changing or new work environment.
